Dubs in't Dales is a family friendly, relaxed show,
we have various fun activities taking place throughout saturday, with live music on both friday and saturday
night. we also hold a cruise on saturday evening,
usually about 2 hours taking in the local sites then
stopping for a photo opp and a quick visit to
a local pub. The show and shine takes place on sunday morning.
in 2012 we decided to stop talking about holding a show and actually do it. The first show took place in June 0f 2012 at Pateley Bridge Show Ground. The event was a great success.
After the success of the first Dubs In't Dales show we were back the next year, this time the show took place in sept and we moved the location to Camp Katur in Bedale. It was another great success with more visitors, campers and traders than the first year.
in 2014 we once again held the show in sept at Camp Katur in Bedale. noticeably bigger and busier than previous years, whilst maintaining our family friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
The 2015 Dubs In't Dales was another great success, we all had a fantastic weekend and from what we've heard so did all of you. Bring on the next one.

The 2017 Show & Shine Competition will take place on Sunday 24 September and will be held in our new show field, which is in front of the traders field (marked 9 on the site map in the programme) Entry to the show and shine field is from 9.30am until 11.30am and Judging starts at 12 noon. All categories are decided by a public vote, except for the Judges Choice category, which will be judged by a qualified expert nominated by the show. Winners will be announced at 15:30, once the vote count has been finalised. The prize categories are as follows: Best Aircooled Aircooled Runner Up Best Watercooled Watercooled Runner Up Best Interior Coolest Ride Judges Choice Entrants are entitled to a refund on their vehicle pass if they have paid to bring their show vehicle into the camping field. Please bring your eticket as proof of purchase. (This does not apply to day tickets, only to the weekend camping vehicle pass). To qualify for a refund, vehicles must be presented to the show field on time and in a suitably clean and well presented condition. Although we have more space than usual in our new show field, and we will endeavor to find space for all entrants, we reserve the right to refuse entry if we either run out of space, or feel that the vehicle has not been suitably cleaned and prepared for the show. If completing the form on the day of the show, please hand it to an organiser in the show field, once you have parked up your vehicle. If you complete the form early, you may also hand it in at the information desk in the Festi Field during the course of the weekend. You are allowed to vote for your own vehicle in the public vote, but only one voting form is allowed per person. The Show & Shine entry form is now available to download and print. Q: Is the show open to all VDubs, or is it just aircooled?
A: All VWs, old and new, aircooled or watercooled are most welcome.
Q: I don't have a VW, can I still come to the show?
A: Yes, anyone is welcome, as long as you have an interest in VWs and love camping.
Q: Who can enter the show and shine competition?
A: The show and shine competition is open to all VWs and there will be categories for aircooled and watercooled vehicles.
Q: Can I bring my dog?
A: Yes, well behaved dogs are welcome, as long as they are kept on leads where appropriate and cleaned up after! The site is great for dog walks and there are lots of woodland pathways to explore.
Q: What time to the gates open?
A: Gates open at 12 noon on Friday 23rd September
Q: What is the latest time I can arrive?
A: After 10pm the gate may be closed, however there will be someone on the gate who can let you in if you arrive later than this. It is helpful if you can warn us if you are expecting to arrive after 10pm.
Q: What time can I arrive on Saturday morning?
A: Preferably no arrivals until after 9am on Saturday morning so as not to disturb those who are already camping.
Q: I am interested in trading at the show, what do I need to do?
A: We will shortly be adding a 'Traders' page to this website and there will be a downloadable Trade form for you to fill in and return to us.
Q: What activities are available on the site?

Q: Can I hire the glamping facilities?
A: Yes, there are lots of glamping pods on site, however they tend to book up quickly over the DITD weekend, so get in early if you want to book one. Visit www.campkatur.com to check availability.
Q: Do you have Wi-Fi internet access?
A: Yes, we have free to use Wi-Fi which is available in the café area.
Q: Do you have electricity?
A: There are no electric hooks ups available, feel free to bring as many solar lights/fairy lights as you wish, the more the prettier we say!
Q: Are Open Fires allowed?
A: Open fires are only permitted in braziers/fire drums that are raised off the ground. Fires ARE NOT ALLOWED on the floor/grass. Anyone found lighting open fires without an off the ground brazier/fire drum will be fined an on the spot charge of £30.00.
Q: Is there Fresh water supply?
A: Yes there are 2 main fresh water points available within the grounds which will be located on the site map.
Q: Can I book the additional Spa and Carvery sessions at the event?
A: Dependant on availability you can book during the event however we strongly advise pre-booking to avoid disappointment on the day as both these new additions are proving popular.
Q: How do we book onsite Adventure Activities?

Q: Where are the Nearest Shops to camp?
A: Bedale is 6 miles away and Ripon is 7 miles away.
Q: Are there any pubs nearby?
A: Yes we have two good pubs serving great food ½ mile each side of the Estate within walking distance these are: Fox and Hounds in Carthorpe and the Black Horse in Kirklington.
Q: Do you allow Bookings for people less than 18 years old?
A: Any Persons under the age of 18 have to be accompanied by an adult who is 18 years or older.
Q: Can i buy a ticket for just the day? (not camping)
A: Yes, day passes can be purchased on the gate £5 for adults £2 for children.
Q: Can i buy a camping ticket on the gate?
A: We strongly advise pre-booking to avoid disappointment as we expect to sell out.
– please read before booking. Please note, there are a few changes to this year's ticketing system, mostly due to the council and fire department now requiring more detailed information and insisting on inspections during the event.
Firstly we have added a vehicle pass – each vehicle entering the camping fields MUST now have a vehicle pass. This serves a dual purpose – we have a limited amount of space and due to fire regulations, we are now required to know how many vehicles we have on site and how many are in each field as well as how many people. As with other shows, the Vehicle pass relates to a camping unit, so it campervan with an awning is classed as a single camping unit, as is a motor home with awning, a car with a caravan or a car with a tent. A campervan or motor home towing a caravan would be classed as two camping units. The cost of the vehicle pass is £10. Whilst we don't want to stop you bringing whatever selection of vehicles you would like to the show, we have to be able to keep track of it, and if we were to make the vehicle pass free then we fear that people would not be encouraged to keep the vehicle count to a minimum, and if people overbook the vehicle passes then we won't have space for many people. Additional funds raised form the vehicle passes will be used to improve the road system around the site, which someone has raised as an issue with the fire department, forcing us to make some costly infrastructure changes around the site before the next show, particularly to the rear exit. We also intend to improve the toilet facilities available around the site. We are also an environmentally conscious show and although we realise that a car show can't be without emissions, we feel that encouraging people to consider the necessity of how many vehicles they are brining to the show can only be beneficial.
We have introduced club camping tickets so that we can better keep track of how many people we will have in the club camping field. When you purchase your ticket, there should be a box where you can state the name of the club you are camping with, which will help us allocate spaces. If you are not intending to camp in club camping then you don't need to complete this field.
Saturday Only Camping.
Due to fire regulations, we are no longer able to offer Saturday night only camping as it is felt that this encourages too much movement around the site. Although people are free to arrive on Saturday if they have bought a weekend ticket and are unable to arrive on Friday, we are not technically supposed to encourage Saturday only camping.
